From Marbella Spain comes another smooth single from ‘High Life’ R&B Soul singer Wendy Halo.
A hard-working businesswoman from Central London, Wendy finds her inspiration from fusing together not only genres of music but polarizing lifestyles as well. After listening to her first single ‘High Life’ it is clear to me here that you can take the girl out of the city, but you can’t take the city out of the girl. This is a beautifully powerful and self-aware artist that understands the idea of not settling for less, and Wendy Halo’s new single ‘Compromise’ which releases to streaming services February 10/2020 puts an exclamation point on that fact.
The first thing that I noticed on ‘Compromise’ was the high production value of the track, I mean, this song is absolutely club-ready. It has the deep bass, the snappy high-hat hits and the smooth vocals we have come to expect from the talented Wendy Halo. The tempo is laid back and dripping with that summer sexiness feeling that makes you want to roll the windows down of your car and go for a long drive with the stereo turned up.
Further into the track is an unexpected break down into some hip-hop that ties the entire ambitious track together. Upon hearing the break down I knew that this was the right decision to make in both structure and lyricist, this artist flow is exactly what it needed to be without becoming overbearing the softly produced track.
All in all, the latest single ‘Compromise’ by Wendy Halo only furthers to solidify that this artist deserves all the credit that she has been getting, and for those that have been looking forward to her follow up to ‘High Life’ I can tell you that you will not be disappointed.
