This South Florida band has once again lived up to their intense name. Bullet is raw, brutal, beautiful and unrelenting. From the opening moments AMOV set’s up Bullet to easily become one of their most successful singles yet. The sonic range of this song is quite impressive, from moments of beautiful harmonies that remind me of something Periphery would do to the guttural screams reminiscent of Alex Terrible of Slaughter To Prevail, Bullet seamlessly journeys back and forth between the light and the dark, and what we end up with is something truly special from a band that has been gaining a lot of recognition for their previous efforts.
Bullet feels like it was crafted for the current Metalcore scene that is exploding right now, and it is quite possible that A Moment of Violence is playing a pivotal part in helping the exciting trajectory that this genre is currently taking.
The anxiety and aggression this track evokes are palpable—exactly what you want, and expect, from a band like A Moment of Violence. Where Bullet truly shines is in the exciting tempo they have chosen to maintain throughout the scorching single, combined with lyrics that are nothing short of inspiring, and no doubt many listeners are going to place this song at the top of their playlists for these reasons.

I don’t think that the idea of being at war with ourselves has ever been more prominent that right now at this point in our history. We have become a culture consumed by the idea of trying to find a way to be special, of trying to uncover our inner-voices, and of feeling as if the world itself is there to help stop us from achieving that. Bullet is the song that propels the listener to overcome those self-defeating thoughts by pushing them to keep moving forward in the face of adversity, which is often from those closest to us, at least that is what my takeaway is from this awesome song.
Produced, mixed, and mastered to perfection, “Bullet” is a war anthem that showcases the band’s creative brilliance and raw power. A Moment of Violence has not just lived up to their name; they’ve redefined it. Well done, guys—this is metalcore at its finest.
