Leave it up to Hollywood, CA artists to capture that summer party vibe in their music so naturally. This time around, the latest album Kill All The News With Rhythm & Blues from Snoop Dogg producer and songwriter Nick Nittoli brings the serious heat. A sixteen-song banger of an album that acts like a hip-hop diary for the pull-no-punches artist and a party album for the rest.

Opening with the laid-back and smooth-as-silk track Weekend, Nick Nittoli introduces us to his raw approach to lyrics that drip with both sex and possibilities. The beat is clean and chill without being overproduced. A solid choice for the opener.

Stay With You comes off very much like a cross between Michael Jackson and Jodeci. The vocals are soulful with the not-so-PG-rated lyrics that Nittoli commands so well. A steady and slow track with a haunting synth effect running through the background, Stay With You wears its heart on its sleeve openly.

Next up is the straight-up club-ready and catchy-as-hell single When You’re Mad. Nick Nittoli really hits his stride with this track. It has great moments of true depth combined with surface-level raw emotion, and a trip-hop style beat that doesn’t disappoint.

Moving on through the album we come across, what I think, would be the album’s obvious choice for the lead single Know Yourself. If you told me that this song was produced by Kanye West while in his prime, I would have no reason to doubt you. Everything about this single travels. Know Yourself finds that perfect space between a simple rhythm and complex layers. It is a track that begs to be turned up loud and should be added to most DJ’s playlists.

One of the tracks that stood out for me was the funky track Sexin. In many ways, this song feels like a fan letter to 2Pac and that incredible era of music, and an album with this style from Nick Nittoli would be welcome by many, I am sure. I found myself hitting repeat on this track more than a few times, it really is a scorching hot track.

Kill All The News With Rhythm & Blues is a truly solid album that is quite diverse in its genre box. An album fused with Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B, and Rock is not the easiest trick to pull off this well, but when you look at the history in the music scene that Nick Nittoli has, it becomes clear that if any artist could do it, it is this one.

If you are a fan of artists like Eminem, 2Pac, and even Blink 182, then make sure not to miss out on Nick Nittoli’s latest album Kill All The News With Rhythm & Blues.
